Angela Kasse moved to Sparta with her family in 2017 from Northern VA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY and has obtained various professional certificates and licenses. She was an employee of an Airline for 22 years and served in several different roles including operations agent, lobbyist, organizer, board member, union officer, and representative to health and safety, human rights, women’s rights, and youth committees. Angela currently works in the insurance and annuity field, frequently supporting and servicing the needs of senior citizens. She is the mother of two boys and the wife of a combat veteran. As the Mayor's Designee to the Sparta Planning Board in 2023, she helped form the subcommittee to rewrite the Master Plan for Sparta which will allow all residents to prosper. She fought to have the People's voices heard and is an advocate for keeping the community safe and beautiful. She understands the needs of Sparta residents and how their lives can be improved. She is dedicated to helping our community to ensure the RESIDENTS COME FIRST in Sparta. She is an active volunteer throughout Lake Mohawk and in other organizations within Sparta. Always willing to step up and help, she is looking forward to assisting the community further.
Celeste Luciano moved with her family from Staten Island, NY to Sparta in 2008. Even then, while working in Manhattan and raising a small child, she knew she wanted to be more involved in the community. Needless to say, that want never abated and escalated with the news of the Mega Warehouse. She has spent the last few years setting and achieving goals to contribute more. Having been appointed to the Planning Board in January 2023, she began her tenure as Chairwoman, quickly setting about creating an environment of collaboration and communication. Her crowning achievement as Chairwoman is the creation of the Master Plan Subcommittee, who are currently working toward safeguarding Sparta’s rural integrity through her support of open space and Highlands Council Preservation, while creating a balanced program for vulnerable areas in development zones, as well as defining those spaces that require redevelopment. Having achieved these small successes as well as having attended the League of Municipalities to learn more about local and state government policies and programs, affords her a unique perspective and makes her more than capable of taking the initiative and lending her talents to the Council and Sparta Residents. Her objective, if elected to the Town Council, is to construct ordinances that will enforce the new Master Plan document anticipated to be complete late 2025.
She and her family share a high regard for the quality of life the residents have built here in Sparta; and her business, Celestial Solutions, LLC not only supports small businesses with their accounting needs and corporate infrastructure, but also is a proud sponsor of both the Lake Mohawk Ski Hawks and Celebrating Courage, the charity supported by the Lake Mohawk Witches Paddle for the benefit of domestic abuse victims.
Ultimately, as a local business owner, a mother, a wife, and a concerned member of the community, she is looking forward to the race for Town Council and a bright future for us all.
